Photogrammetry object preparation - question

I would like to embed several objects in a scene using the photogrammetry technique

I have a problem with

preparing an object

I want to remove everything except the object I want to embed

Bleder is not my main 3D editor (rather a tool), so maybe my problems are due to my lack of knowledge about Blender

I try to remove the environment using line, point and plane selections

but it always removes a little but not everything, I have to clear one area several times to remove everything

Is there a setting in Blender? maybe a plugin that does it better

or some other way to isolate some objects

Regards

It is easiest to organize in the photogrammetry program.

It is helpful to take a good look at the manual guide of the photographic surveying program.
There are instructions on how to shoot.
This may be a reference even if it’s not the software you’re using.
I think you can refer to a well-made manual.

I follow the tutorial
but there deleting doesn’t leave any garbage

When I do the same with my file, garbage remains and I have to clean one place multiple times
which is troublesome in larger projects

So maybe something is set incorrectly in Blender that in edit mode with selected nodes, lines and faces it doesn’t tell me exactly

I don’t know what software you used to create it.

To solve this problem in blender, use the knife tool to cut it.

You can use the C option for objects with height using the knife tool to cut the face at the back of the object.

※ The knife tool options are displayed at the bottom of blender when using the knife tool.

https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/mesh/knife_topology_tool.html

After cutting, you can use the V key to separate and the L key to select the separated object.

There is no way to automatically handle this problem.

Or, you can use a boolean on the side to cut the height of the bottom part.

This is possible when the bottom height is constant.

※ Since I am not an English speaker, there may be parts that do not convey the meaning.

I have Blender+Blossom premium and free
but I can’t have a Google 3D API key
(no credit card) so I don’t use this set

But for photogrammetry I use “3D snapshot”

I do it using:
Blender 4.1.1
RenderDoc 1.31
MapsModelImporter 0.7.0

And it works quite well (even though it has to be resized later)
but with the help of BlenderGIS I add a Google map as a background and set
everything correctly

The only thing that causes me trouble is separating objects

Thank you very much for your help
I’ll try your tips with cutting into pieces right away

Best regards

I think the key issue was cutting with the height of k + C taken into account

Now I think I can handle it nicely

Thank you very much for this tip oo_1942 Kim
