@chafouin Hi, I’m having a bit of a difficulty working with batch renders using render queue.
Mainly the issue I think is with incompatibility with an addon called render layers, which outputs images via file output node.
This first image is a screenshot from the N panel for RenderLayers Manager addon ([Addon] Renderlayer Manager).
And below is screenshot from Photographer.
As you can see, they have different file path outputs. And it’s evident in the terminal screen. The first 4 images output are from the file node specified paths, whereas the Photographer path outputs the last 5th image. The issue that I am having is that the file output node results in the file name being constant that the outputs are overriding each other. Whereas the photographer output updates based on tokens.
So as a result, I will have in my folder just a single “Camera.002v01test_2001.exr” for example after all 5 cameras have been rendered, and 5 different images from photographer. So the addon works, but what I’m trying to figure out is how to combine the two addons so that I can use both features. I would ultimately like to be able to do a batch render so that I can get a EXR output with all the render passes AND cryptomatte EXR as a separate file. Does this make sense? Thank you for reading!
Edit: I understood the core of the issue after diagnosing. The issue is that the tokens set in the file output by the renderlayer Manager will not adapt to the changes before rendering. So all images taken from different cameras are fed into the same camera file path that the batch render began with…
