Photorealistic integration on a still image.

Thi is a test of a new tecnique by PLopezproductions for integrate 3d geometry in a still image scene . For this , i import the image into blender as a background image , then i reconstruct the geometry of the scene and texture it . The last step is doing the geometry invisible at camera and export only the monkey. Finally i compose it. Sorry for my bad english

Its called camera mapping / or projection

Amazing job it looks great

Yes , is like camera mapping but not exactly. Thanks

The animated equirectangular map at 1:25 in that video is really cool. I wonder if they’re using it for HDR lighting or if it’s just for reflections.

Steve S

Ithink that its used for both .

it looks Great!

Thank you

This is other shot , the scene is the same , but now we are using a mirror ball

This was a test using chrome material in a sphere:yes:

You should re-render that with the sphere set to smooth. This discoball effect makes it hard to see what’s going on.

OK the nex time i will do that , thanks
