Physbox animations

Hello everybody,
I want to show my work and a little bit about how I created them in this topic.

My first Blender animation is “Yellow-green smoke”:

Blender version: 2.8
Render Engine: EEVEE

My steps:

  1. Creation and placement the objects and floor in the scene:

  2. Creating a domain and two smoke emitters:

Domain settings (I left all the settings that I don’t show by default):
3 4
Smoke emitter settings (they are the same for both, colors are different (green and yellow)):
5

  1. Adding wind to the scene to indicate the direction of the smoke.

  2. Smoke simulation baking.

  3. Light settings, smoke and objects materials.
    Smoke material:

  4. EEVEE settings:

    8

    9

  5. Adding multiple cameras from different angles.

  6. Rendering multiple animations from different angles from different cameras to PNG. Creating a video file from the PNG.

  7. That’s all. I hope some of this will be useful to you.

Hello everybody,
I want to talk a little about my next video “Keva planks castle destruction”. The castle destruction by catapults. The castle is built from Keva planks.

The castle is based on a real castle called Corvin Castle, also known as Hunyadi Castle. Yes, I know, maybe it doesn’t look much like the real one in the end, but I took it as a basis

Blender version: 2.81
Render Engine: EEVEE

My steps in creating:

  1. Creating a floor and the castle from keva planks.

  2. Rigid Body settings for floor and the castle.
    Floor settings:
    2
    Castle settings:

Rigid Body settings on the Scene tab:
    4

I noticed the incorrect work of physics (scattering of planks in different directions) after setting up the Rigid Body.
I found what the problem was after hours of search for a solution to the problem.
NEVER duplicate objects in place of the original object!

  1. Removing duplicates

  2. Adding catapults and spheres to the scene

  3. Catapults animation.

  4. Animation and settings of Rigid Body for spheres.

  5. Simulation bake.

  6. Adding Area lamps for the general scene and Point lamps for windows.

  7. Settings materials. I used HDR card for the world. The floor has a wooden table material. Keva planks, spheres, and catapults also have wood material, but different.

  8. EEVEE settings:

    9

  9. Adding multiple cameras from different angles.

  10. Rendering multiple animations from different angles from different cameras to PNG. Creating a video file from the PNG.

  11. That’s all. I hope some of this will be useful to you.
