Hello, I´m working on a “little” game project and blah blah blah etc. … and I have a problem.
When I´m trying to parent multiply objects to camera which is parented to another object. When I do it and I´l run the game, the character does extremely weird things.Sometimes it might even penetrate ground. (Tis happend to me last time when I had blender 2.42) When I clear parenting between camera and another two objects aligned to it, the problem dissapears.Could someone tell me how to delete this problem without canceling of parenting between camera and those two objects, please?
I´ve uploaded a blend of this problem. It´s chopped out of my project so it looks a bit weird:o
Hello
it seems to work (2.48)?!
It’s a quite weird setup, anyway…You have the camera inside the head?!
It works because the body don’t have “twoside” enabled, but its weird.
Move the camera a bit?!
And disable “collision” for all the character’s faces!
Bye
On first look it seems to work but from the outside, the chartacter movement looks very weird. It is much better when that two objects aren´t parented to camera
Yes I have the camera inside the head. I´ve been inspired by human eyes which are located inside human´s head too.
This works. I can´t believe, that I was so stupid that I forgot to turn off colisions for texts and camera. Thank you very much
You just have to turn collision off for all the child objects (go through each one and pick “no collision” from the physics pulldown in the logic panel)
Also, since the camera’s inside the main character, you can’t see it; you may as well delete the character mesh and save some processing power. That’s why it’s odd to put the camera inside the head.
