PieMaster - [Addon] [$]

Can you add some screenshots of your menus ?
I don’t have these addons, so I can’t install the preset.

Thank you for sharing it for PieMaster users

I ended up redoing that specific pie menu and chainback works fine now.

There are some pains setting up the menus but once it’s setup, it’s amazing. Really loving it.

I have some more issues and minor suggestions:

Issues:

  1. RMB doesnt override the RMB default menu in the UV Editor. Other keys work. Pme can override it just fine

  2. Dividers don’t seem to work for nested drawers–they don’t display and arent customizable like regular grid dividers

Suggestions:

  1. add a toggle on the editor menu list. Right now to disable it, I have to go to keymap and uncheck it so it doesnt trigger. Or save, delete, bring it back in. But it would be great to be able to toggle menus directly from the list, and be able to see its state at a glance. When you have a ton of menus (and since this thing is addictive, one will always get there), it’ll be easier to track things. Also, disabling a keymap trigger will not stop a sub-pie/menu from triggering, so it’s a little bit different from actually disabling.

  2. custom arrows. Right now i use a custom image, set to right, and hide the default arrow. This semi works because I might want an icon with an arrow, and also because I cannot do the workaround with nested drawers.

  3. For conditions, I mostly have my conditions in python already, but I think that search conditions you have is pretty helpful and neat. Clicking on one overrides the existing condition, as expected, but maybe a shift click could append as “and” while an alt could append as an “or” to make it easier for newbies to come up with more complex conditions without having to type

Thanks for the awesome work!

ISSUES

  1. The bug has been fixed
    piemaster_fix_context_menu

  2. Dividers, you mean separators?
Fixed, I also added the options for the separation (line, dotted line…)

SUGGESTIONS

  1. Done, I wanted to do that too.

  2. I’ll think about that. What is this workaround with nested drawers?

  3. Same, I’ll think about that. I had the same idea, in fact.

Pme can override it just fine

I’m not making this addon a replacement for PME; it was a bug in the UV editor.
I try to make my own thing, as you can see with the updates.

I added settings to edit the Gesture thing!

I added an option to get help with anything (which will lead to the online documentation)

Yep, I understand. I didn’t mean it in that way, I still run PME alongside PMaster for some UI and macros. I shifted most of my pies to Pmaster it seems to have more flexibility specifically with pies. I meant that I was using the same context in pme pie (so it is correct and possible) but it didn’t work. Thanks for fixing that bug and the others.

Regarding the nested drawer workaround-- I meant on a grid or menu I could use a custom icon , hide the default arrow, align to right, and use that for a custom arrow. However, nested drawers don’t have that option (icon align right), so this workaround will not work with nested drawers and the arrows will be the default arrows. Making the icon align available for nested drawers or having a custom arrow icon will fix that issue.

Thanks so much for taking feedback and the fast fixes, updates/improvements!

Video in French this time.

In this one, I present the add-on’s different menus, options, and possibilities.

I made this to show what the add-on can do!

Bonjour Cedric,

I can’t stop thinking about PieMaster.:slightly_smiling_face:

When you get an opportunity, could you possibly do a video on some of the updates to PieMaster?

The gesture mode seems to be very intriguing.

Maybe you can demonstrate some examples of it’s usage?

Only a suggestion, of course.:open_hands:

Cheers,

Neil

Thank you very much, Cedric.

I’ve had a little dabble. It has great potential.

I can imagine a chain of pie menus from one central pie!

Amazing

Merci beaucoup, Cedric
