Suggestion : How about adding some city skyline in the background ? I think that would give this little pigeon some kind of a story 
I agree maybe a city skyline or row houses. With lots of DOF to blur them out
I actually like the brown background. Wondering why you didn’t subsurf the chain though… It looks a bit blocky as is. (the bird looks quite good though)
Thanks for your comments. I planned a sunset image So I didn’t use city skyline. In chain I noticed subsurf problem later.
My only complaint other than the chain is that the pigeon doesn’t really look like it has feathers, it’s completely smooth around the edges.
I didn’t add fur. Render time is only 3 seconds.
