Pink color appeared in sculpt mode

Hello everyone !

I need your help with a small issue in Blender.

I mainly use the software to learn sculpting. I’m currently trying to sculpt Jinx from the series Arcane (as a challenge). But when I try to merge the newly created torso and the head, I end up in the sculpt mode with this horrible pink color that prevents me sculpting properly the rest of my character. And I don’t understand why it’s appearing… I tried to join a different mesh to my torso, and that worked fine. For your information, I tried joining the two meshes using the short cut Ctrl + J, but I also tried using boolean modifiers.I have seen that pink color appears when there is missing textures but in my case I created this file (nothing is imported) and I didnt apply any textures on my model yet.

Here is what I have before joining the 2 meshes :

And here is what I have after joining the two meshes :

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be (to help a complete beginner like me)?

Thank you in advance for your help !

Could be a face set, in the face set menu try the initialize face sets options.

Thanks for your reply. I tried what you told me. The color on the body is changing to a turquoise color when I have done " Initialize Face Sets > By Normals "
And it goes back to that pink color when I have done " Initialize Face Sets > By UV Seams ". With others options nothing change.

Try “face set from visual” in the main face set menu.

Thanks ! Indeed, the pink color disappeared when I tried " Face set from visible". But I have a question : Does this change something to my model ? Or was it only a matter of color which indicating the direction of faces ?

No, face sets are like complex masks for seperatating parts of the model. If you have not used them on purpose then dont worry, it does not change the model.
