Pinning one axis (-z) in a fire/smoke domain

hey folks,

I was wondering something about fluid domains. In Maya, there’s a feature to freeze a plain from the auto-scale (“adaptive domain”), does anyone know if this is doable in Blender? Meaning - if I want the adaptive domain to only translate in the ±x ±y & +z but the -z stays pinned in it’s initial position.


ok, ignore that. ill answer my own question. it turned out it’s the adaptive domain that’s causing my issue. I had much resolution adding thinkin it was scale the devisions like Maya does, but it doesn’t. It quite literally add voxels to the outside if needed. :expressionless:

i have another issue now which is that my sim is exploding when it reaches the max size. :frowning:
