Pirates Escape

Hello everyone! I’d like to share a personal project for the first CGBoost Challenge.

I got the 2nd place with this entry and I got really motivated and happy after that.
I had never put that amount of effort in a single CG piece artwork before. I hope you like it:

It was done using Blender 2.80 and rendered in EEVEE! I used my sister’s notebook because mine 2011 MacBook Pro has a dead GPU.

Thanks OLG.

Nice concept. The stained glass window seems a bit off. I think it would be better as a retro cyberpunk window with regular glass - for the capitain to look ahead.
Congrats anyway. I like the lighting a lot…

It is interesting to see how you use simple planes and transparency to achieve fire or lightning effects.

Yes! Yes!!! :metal: :love_you_gesture:

Very cost effective I would say. It helped achieving the desired feeling in no time due to the contest’s timeframe.

Very nice for the EEVEE engine - Good work!

Indeed, EEVEE exceeded my expectations handling this one.
