Yeah, the resistance to change just the front page of Blenders website was both surprising and utterly baffling to me. It seemed like a no-brainer. Andrew Price, probably the most vital and interesting voice in the Blender universe, even created a new front page mock-up using the same color and graphic elements, that from a design standpoint seemed considerably more interesting, inviting, and IMO darn exciting even, yet it was immediately dismissed by some in attendance for no apparent reason at all. Just like you, I feel like I’m finally able to take off and do anything with Blender…
… but of course, that remains to be seen. I still have lot of learning ahead!
Yes I thought the makeover of the Blender was great and Andrew did a lot of research to get it right.
The reaction kind of reminded me of High School with all the little cliques. It almost seems like some want to
make it an exclusive club.
