Pivoting point

I’ll like to start off saying hello to the blender community

any ways, I made a quick and dirty version of what I want, but it is very messy. I created a simple shade, but I want to make copies of the shape, and make a circle of those shape. I think the easiest way to do this cleanly is to put a pivoting point away from the shape, and when I make a copy of the shape, I just rotate the shape on the pivoting point, and do it again until I make a circle out of the shapes.

basically, what I am saying is, how do I pivot?

With the array modifier with an Empty at the center of the circle

You can use duplivert on a circle. Here is how to do it.

Thanks its just what I needed.

Your welcome, glad I could help.
