no worries, i’m procrastinating anyway^^.
WHOA this was really trippy at first, i wasnt aware that you could lock the viewport to the selected object, is this sth you did? was it like this?
(Edit: i cant recommend using the settings under view-view lock, these mostly limit you in your day to day movement and have only very specialized usecases. If you need to Focus on another point or need another point to rotate around always use your “,” key (if you have a numpad) to focus on the selected object)
So, first thing i noticed was, there seemed to be two of those bugged Donuts on top of each other, so i deleted one. I then pressed alt + G to reset the position of the remaining bug donut to the world origin since he was waaaay off somewhere. This solved most of the bugs but the sprinkles were gone, and then i realised what mesh density u were using… i’ve never seen a donut with 5 million verts
this is way too much my friend, more doesnt necessarily mean better in this case. But since the donut under it is build normaly i guess u slipped on the subdivision slider? Did you try to sculpt it?
other Thing:
If you have this locations enabled, you wont be able to scale your objects normally, this is only used to e.g. move objects closer to each other without affecting their scale. So you are only scaling their positional value. I dont recommend using this at all at the start unless you know exactly you need this funktion.
If you want to use Volume in your Scene its important to connect it to the right socket or on the right use it under the tab volume and not surface. Most of the time it makes more sense to just use a Cube wehre you want to be volume and give it a prinicpled volume shader and not your whole scene, this saves you a lot of computing power.
At this point i’m investing way too much time but i am too pissed that i cant figure out why the file now still has 200 MB. So while searching for that i’m just spitballing everything that catches my eye just to help you in the future.
I didnt find the cause of this at all so i just copied everything into another blend file, and voila. I hate that this solves my problems way too often. I leave the rest to you
Donut2.blend (3.5 MB)
Happy blending
