Hi, I was wondering how can i make the parts just underneath the stem fade from yellow to rest of the tomato colour?
here is my first render
and i want to make the colour changed like below sample image
here is my current node
any advice would be very helpful, thanks.
Ps. i know the stem and leaves around it doesn’t look nice, i will work on them , too

I played a little with the node editor…I get this don’t know if You can use this as a start…
I use - Input - Geometry - pointiness node to Fac in ColorRamp - ColorRamp is set to B-spline.
You should play a litlle with the interpolation Mode in ColorRamp also the Color Mode - RGB - HSL - HSV Give differnt result.

thank you very much, i will try to apply geometry - pointiness on it , will try because I’m quite new at Blender and sometimes it’s hard to find my way around

I have tried to apply it but somehow i can only have it if the gradient is in linear which is not appropriate for tomato , please see the node setting here http://www.pasteall.org/blend/36486, I don’t know what is wrong 
and can you explain why you needed to use more than one Material out put panel after emission shaders. thanks
Alternatively you can use vertex paint to control the mix of the base colour with a another colour.
In the example where you paint black = 100% top input (yellow), white is 100% bottom input (red) and grey is a mix of the two.
The attribute node uses the name of the vertex colour layer (Col)
You don’t have to make any changes to your original colour ramp or texture mappings etc
By using Mapping node’s Z Position you can position Blend texture -position was off since your tomato was bigger than sphere i used; Emission and Output makes easy to see what mask does.
