Plane or Cube?

When modeling a character for the head, torso and arms, legs, pelvis etc. Do I use planes or cubes? Which is easier? Which is recommended? Also, when modeling the face, where do I start?

Cube for sure. Cuz there you’ve already got a 3-dimensional object. It’s called box modelling.

Some people prefer box modelling, some poly by poly. Both can give just as good or as just as bad results as each other. Robo3Dguy might like box modelling best, it doesn’t mean it is best for how you work and how think when modelling. Try both ways yourself and see which is best for you.
