Planet ES Hospital Room

Planet ES is my favorite anime, with realistic characters and realistic everything else. So, I made a room, one from a hospital on the moon.

I’m using Yaf(a)ray for rendering, although I might also use Yafray.

Here’s a test shot with Yaf(a)ray:

Here are some references:

Three shots of the room.

And here’s one with a nice shot of the floor materials.

I have more modeled, I just need to render it and set it up a bit more.

Did anyone know that if you put an object with a high emit value near an object, it’ll
emit on to that object, if GI is on?

Sounds great! GI is… where?

Blender Internal renderer doesn’t have Global Illumination(GI) yet, so you have to use Yafray. To switch to Yafray, go to the render buttons panel, and under the giant “Render” button, there press the thing that says Blender Internal, then select Yafray. Go to the next tab, called Yafray, then press XML off. Then, go to the next tab, called Yafray GI I think, then select GI Method to Full, then select GI quality to Low, then you have GI.

You need to tweek the “expousre” slider on the previous tab. Here’s a rule of thumb for the exposure slider, “Higher is ffor darker renders, lower is for lighter renders, and at 0.00, exposure isn’t active.”

I thought that it’s the reason it is named emit?
Looks good so far, keep it going

Well, thanks. I am, actually, here’s an update:

Thanks for the crits, this one is particulary helpful. I wasn’t sure if it was three curtains, two on the side and one in front, but I think it is just one big curtain that rolls all around.
