Nice keep up the good work =) Did you make the foliage yourself? If not what software did you use?
the ornamental grass looks good. looks like there is a version of fiber generator script for blender2.63
http://www.ewocprojects.be/fiber.html
Thanks, need to try that new fiber script.
500 Cycles samples.
Yellow was to loud and had to change it.
I tried the fiber generator script.
I grew the grass on a small mesh plane.
I had to modify the script to get more blades out, Max was 50 for density and raised to 1000.
Hey David, I too have played with vegetation a lot so take this advise be careful not to beat it to death if you know what I mean. It seems to me that you are moving farther and farther away from the vegetation coloring which you began with and I my opinion some of your first renders were the best. I have fallen into this same trap before my self going over and over and over a leaf color or the bark color ect. Anymore I’m finding that taking a photo of a leaf and binging it into blender with maybe only some gama or contrast adjustments is all that should be done. Other than that developing a image board to pick exact colors from is helpful as well such as the colors for the translucency of a leaf. All these things are much harder to do then they appear. With all that being said I still give you great respect for your efforts:) Keep up the great work and Happy Blending!
I was thinking the first renders were the worst and trying to improve on them.
Yes, photos help in getting a more realistic render.
