plastic animation paper

A beautiful 2d animation program. Theres a shareware version that works perfectly just missing some of the full versions functions:

looking forward to mac version…

looks good, might check it out. thanks for the tip ;).

I tell ya, I scaped up just enough to buy the broadcast version of PAP< and I couldn’t be happier. On hell of a program, well worth the download.

i just gave this a try and it’s a pleasure to use. one thing of note, when you go to export and you think you’ve been screwed because the format is stuck on the native format,…just >>roll<< the little button to get other formats. :stuck_out_tongue: weird buttons. sounds familiar.

Im waiting for the KToon windows version, I have used PAP but I prefer open source programs of course!

i prefer open source too, but it doesn’t look like it runs on windows. i think i am going to shell out $100 bucks for the pro version of dogwaffle. seems to be the best deal. the free version of dogwaffle doesn’t do onion skinning, so is relatively useless for animating.

K-toon is going to have a windows version soon, but anyway its under development so yes, maybe the best solucion is to buy a commercial program for now :frowning:

well, i bought it, ( it being project dogwaffle pro version )…and it is COOL. oh man, is it ever cool. any dogwafflers thinking about springing for the pro version,…DO it.

why buy, when u can download… :Z

speaking of ‘warez’ in this forum is discouraged. also, i don’t generally steal unless i’m starving, and you can’t eat software, so,…

I may get this in a few years, but I plan on getting mirage first. Seems even more powerful, with a 10 frame onion skinning and also a a plugin for automated storyboarding. No more index cards woo hoo!

Thanks, this is good to hear. It’s taken Dan Ritchie about 8 years to get it to this point. And he keeps cranking out new features for it. I’m also working with other imaging tools to get Lua scripting more used. It’s great for making or changing filters, with the gluas subset as originally implemented for the GIMP. Artweaver (www.artweaver.de) has since added support for Lua scripting with our GUIserver extensions too.

For those who had 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2 already, the 3.5 updater is now available as a free patch.

Modron, be sure to show us what you do and draw.

Anyone here going to the Texas WizardWorld show? Tim Vigil will be exhibiting there, and he’s been using Dogwaffle now since DragonCon Atlanta a few months back. If you run into him be sure to ping him about what he thinks of PD Pro.

Yes because we all know that theres nothing worse in the world than PAYING for software, since it should all be free.

Good software is worth paying for, period.

Great googly moogly, if your referring to the comic book artist Tim Vigil then I dont even want to know what he is doing these days :o

Maybe hes cleaned his subject matter up, but he used to do some majorlly sick stuff back in the day (I should know, I used to collect it…)

Cheers,
Xarf
