plastic look

How can I make my objects absorb light?
like when I render a human face, it is kinda reflecting the light and it is making the model look plastic



You’re probably referring to SSS (Sub Surface Scattering). Blender Internal can now do it, and so can Indigo. As for Yafray, I think it’s still in the to-do list.

I tried the SSS and half of the face was skin color and half was completely black,
what’s up??

Can you post a pic? Without seeing what result you’re getting is somewhat difficult for others to help. To me is sounds like you be dealing with a combination of SSS and perhaps having your specularity set to high. Maybe reflectivity?

Again… without a pic it’s hard to tell.
