Playing with audio

Hello, i started playing with audio speakes inside blender, to see if i can give some kind of “3d audio effect” to my scenes.
I see that the audio played by a speaker decrease, increase or pan in relation to the camera; but it doesen’t seem affected by geometry… is there a way to simulate the way the sound plays if there is an object beetween the sound source and the camera? (i.e. the speaker is placed behind a wall, and when the camera pans over the edge of the wall, the audio volume suddenly goes up?
