thats a screen of a very simple demo i did with something looking like it would be done in a ps1, heh. I plan to use the scanline tech for my animation I am doing in the engine

320x256 16 bits (fog)

up= up arrow
down = down arrow
left = left arrow
right = right arrow
zoom + = keypad+
zoom - = keypad -

How did you get it to look that way? It really captured the ps1 look! (maybe make it a little bit smoother…only a little) :stuck_out_tongue:

heh acutrally it was quite easy since i was gonna use 320x256 rez i just made a texture that had 256x1 lines with from lightgray to darker gray the make a plane parented to the cam and used add in the paint menu. it does not improve the lines much but it gives the texture a bit better look more color variation.

why would u do something like that??

the game would look better without it… unless its in a cutscene of the real cam looking into a television set or something

Yeah, looks pretty bad:)

Pretty good at lookin bad though.

Very nice simple effect that goes a long way.

Looks about 90% PS1 (PS1 doesn’t look that dithered? Does it…?)

acutrally the playstation runs on a 640x480 rez this is 320x256 but o well
