first you are in the wrong forum to post this…
second: the paper could be smoothed
third: make some better lighting, put some shadow in there
Fourth: Your math book seem to be wrong…this seem to be the cover of your book…the the “border” should be on the other side…hope you understand…anyway take a real book and see by yourself
Fifth: put some texture on the wall and add some more detail
it’s a good start! Keep up blending!
uhmmm you didn’t read my first point

…
OOOhhhhh no an honest to god off topic post, in the off topic forum. :o
What will we think of next??
dude, i had no idea you could stutter when typing!!
split-guy: GET A DIFFERENT HOST, THAT HOTLINKING SHIT AND THE POPUPS ARE PISSING ME OFF!!!..and id really love to see your artwork.
And this topic slowly drifted away in the WIP forum…
Welcome, and nice start, BTW, the overall scene is not bad, what you need is to tweak materials to get a more interesting look and light to ‘unflatten’ the scene, get shadows etc.
Stefano.
the corner is starting to look very promising but the wall needs some more (a bit more detail, a bit of bump)

just copy paste: no pop-ups, straight to the image
i don’t like that colour on the walls, reminds me of baked beans or something? whatever… never’d paint my place like that. really like the wood on the cabinets/chests though. needs better lighting/shadows.
Not a bad start!
Some thoughts for improvement:
-
Beware the wood texture you’re using: it’s set up on the dressers to have the same origin: meaning that it looks like it’s carved out of one block of wood. Set different mapping points (map to an empty moved to different places in the drawers, for instance) to alleviate this.

Things are too clean.
In the “real” world, things have nosie & grit to them. Texture. Try adding some textures to the items to roughen them up a bit.
Keep at it!

I like the cabinets/cupboards whatever, you have there… and the small table in the corner.
now, what you need is wallpapers …
the window borders are too thick and ugly. ofcourse, I dont know if your room has that in real life too (hope not :))
the glass on the table … hmm… it’s very likely not to work properly on blender, so perhaps try another material … instead of glass, perhaps wood, or stone… something?
lighting needs improving too, now it’s a bit flat. more highlights, and shadows.
