Please help me understand...

why this is happening. I’ve got GLSL shaders turned on and I am trying to get set this up so I can bake a light map. I can’t get this patch of black to go away no matter what I do. I tried googling it but I can’t find anything. As you will be able to see from the attached pics, I put a spot on it, turned the energy up to 10 and put it right on it… but no luck. I tried recalcualting normals and I checked the mesh for renegade polys. I even tried recalculating normals in and then recalulate normals out, but no luck.

It isn’t the end of the world if I can’t fix it… I can just gimp it out… but I’d like to know why it’s doing this. Pictures are attached.

post the .blend?

I tried it on my home computer and it’s gone now. There is something wrong with my other computer as ti does all kinds of weird stuff.
