Hi folks. I find myself in the uncomfortable situation where I have made a killer animation within blender using its metaballs to create a logo that morphs from mercury.
NOW the client has returned, wondering if I can export the animation for a gimmicky 3DTV.
I know you can’t post URLS, but to illustrate what I mean, please google NewSight
They supply displays which render a 3D effect similar to what you see with stereoscopic glasses… only you don’t need the glasses. (We’re receiving a prototype today.
So we’ve also received a bunch of plugins for Maya to render out an animation for this format. The plugin is called “MultipassNewSight.mll” and is available for Maya versions 6.5 up to 8.5 (not 2008).
My question is: since it’s been around since 6.5, has anyone who may work with both Maya and Blender come across this before, and might there be a python equivalent to plug straight into Blender?
Anxiously await your reply. Cheers in advance, and the next beers are on me.
