Pls help with ghelper setup for rendering of 3D animation

Hello here, I always render animation of blender and I recently changed from Armoury Crate to Ghelper because Ghelper is better. Sorry, I posted this here because I feel some of you guys use ghelper or might know more about it and I need help. I am confused on how to set up my ghelper as not to harm the CPU and GPU, as to reduce temperature(94°C) of the GPU when rendering an animation of 600+ frames using Optix Denoiser.

I use ASUS ROG STRIX G16 RTX4070,32gb ram laptop. I know you are gonna tell me to change to desktop. I understand. I will do that in future. I am a mobile person for now, so, I still use laptop.

The image attachment show the ghelper default setup for balanced and for turbo. Is there any change I need to implement probably in the fan curve setup or others?

So, I’ve never used this particular program, but those fan curves look very low. After about 70 or 80 degrees I would push them as high as they go (this will make your laptop more noisy at maximum load). If your GPU/CPU is still thermal throttling with your fans on maximun you have three options

  1. Accept that you will wear down your chip
  2. Lower your available power, accepting the performance penalty
  3. Buy an external laptop cooler (I’ve no idea how well these actually work, perhaps others can chip in)

You’re right that a desktop is absolutely the way to go to avoid these issues, but I can definately understand not wanting to buy new hardware at the moment given the state of the market.
