These are really nice. What renderer are you using?

Hi HJ05,

That is blender internal renderer,
Thanks for the compliment

Wow! Very pretty. The leaves appear upside down in the second render, might just be the lighting. Really nice job. Is it unwrapped or procedural? This thread looks like its heading to the gallery.

Hi Orinoco,

I inverted the leaves in the second render, I was trying to make them look like a refrence picture I have…

I think in the future I will keep them sagging down like in the first render, looks more natural to me too.
Thanks for the compliments too

EDIT:
Ok I fixed the yellow one, thanks again!!

Here is a nice pink one.

Think I might go back and try adding more noise details to the first flower textures too.

Looking sweet Mmph!. I like your style. Very bright and colorful. Keep up the good work.

Hi Crititrozoz,

Thanks, I am looking forward to what this is going to become

Ok, I have updated the first 2 pictures. I added a bit more detail to the petals.

Well

I got a bark texture down. Now all I need is a flowerpot and a backdrop

very nice  wish I could model like that :frowning:

on the last pic, the foremost branch seems to be slightly detached from the trunk - or maybe its just me?

yea the front branch looks odd to me too…

also the light is bleeding out the leaves a bit.

can you post some wireframes when you are done? you are an excellent modeler.

Thanks  Have a good day

Hey thanks guys,

I am just trying to get a backdrop ready… more to come

Wow really nice! I love those flowers, i can almost smell them through my screen they look so good! I like how one of the branches is chopped off, it adds another level of realism. The specular is a tad high on the bark texture imo, and I’m not sure I like how the front branch connects to then main trunk.

Hi all here is an update :

Hi bjzaba,
yes I think you are right. I will play with the bark texture a bit more after dinner.
I hope I can get it into some type of planter, and a nice backdrop tonight
I might model new trees for the other 2 flowers too if I get time and inspiration.

Thanks for the help everyone

WOW…is all i can say right now.

only thing i would add is maybe some buds to fill it up more…
and fix the lighting under that foremost branch…
maybe add some glow to give that japanese cherry blossom look ya know?

That looks damn good hey. Really nice details.

I got 1 word for you…
Splendid!

Thanks guys
I could not do this without everyones help.
Hope you like it with a backdrop too :

Going to add more fine details after lunch.
I like the flower color, but it seems to overpower everything.
I may blur the backdrop a bit more to give a fake DOF effect.
who knows I may be able to decipher the new distance blur render node thingie, and do a real DOF.
