Plz have a look @ Takeo Igarashi's another research project

interesting enough. It is supposed to be a kind of fast 2d animation demo system, I think.

Such an invention would be HORRIBLY impractical for 2D. Wroking with flash… you can’t make a good movie out of a bunch of deformations no matter how seemless or clean they look. Unless this guy manages to incorperate it into a 3D program (hopefully Blender… :stuck_out_tongue: ) THEN it might have some kind of future…

The demos on that site looked pretty practical to me; for 2d or 3d.

I think that this is a very intuitive approach. I downloaded the demo and am playing with it - just fascinating!

This guy never stops!!! Its may seem impratice to advance users but to kids its a very realistic tool. Hell teddy has been use by many kids already!

That’s all the Japanese seem to be able to invent/innovate these days. Childrens toys, toilets with voice activation and new methods of cosmetic surgery… and not to mention an invisibility vest that doesn’t make people invisible. Yet…when it come to inventions that actually help to marginally better humanity… I don’t hear from Japan… but rather MIT or Schools in Europe (And soon… I’ll be hearing from schools in China and Southeast Asia… at least much sooner than I hear from Japan).

Why is it then that I hear morons shouting out “JAPAN IS THEM MOST TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED NATION IN THE WORLD!”? Why do people even bother wasting time to point it out everytime an innovation to the paperweight comes out in Japan?

Pardon my rant… I just HAD to get that out…

(Dawns flame retardant suit at the last minute)… oh boy… I hope this is LAVA proof…

Japan, although small isn’t really advanced, but Rather Tokoyo is where these rumors are from. That city it’s self is the building guide to technology. But its more highly based on creativity, where as korea and china and other asian country strive for realistic technology in hopes to boost its economy, becuase japan already has the highest standard of living.

Places in Euorpe and US already have their names built, and only dewel (invest) in project that will produce money.

There is never anything wrong with creativity no matter how useless it is.

And not to mention the lowest regaurd for eduction in the field of history…

Ay… i guess that’s true… I mean a society with a recycled animation style with recycled plots… that sounds real creative.

However on a less sarcastic and more smart alecky note… Those proud Japanese archeologists… they sound creative… they rewrite history with their own creative verses! They creatively plant aged swords within their own excavation sites and dig them up the next day just to make the claim that the Japanese DIDN’T get the katana design from Korea. Boy I wish I was as brilliantly creative as these guys… they make their country proud… especially when they get caught.

Oh… and don’t get me started on the overflowing creativity of Yoshinori Kobayashi…he…

WHAO! What a tangent… sorry about that…

Yes, lets not make that a habit…

:o (It’s the admin!) … I can explain, sir!.. well no I can’t… other than I’m just real opinionated about… stuff…

Well… at least I’m not making big threads about how much I think artistic nudity in Blender is against my religious beliefs and that the entire forums going to Hell for their sins…

Plus… I’m not…err… I’ll shut up now…

ChenBaiwan (or Baiwan Chen, whatever…), could you please be so kind as to stop expressing your hate for Japan and the Japanese culture? Thanks.
