PLZ HELP! Why does this weight-painting not work?

Hi!

I am new to blender and I am trying to weight-paint a dragon I modeled. The bone labeled: LowerLegB.R (This is the back Lower Leg Bone) does not weight-paint correctly. It pulls the mesh that seems to be attached to the neck even though I did not paint it. The right back lower leg works fine and I don’t know why. I tried to clear all weights from the LowerLegB.R by selecting all vertex then setting weight = 0, but that does not seem to fix the problem.

I was hoping that some experienced blender artists would take the time to help me with my problem.

It looks like you have all the model’s verts assigned to that bone for some reason. If you go to edit mode on the model, in the object data tab, vertex groups, select the “upperlegB.L” group and then the “select” button. You can see that it selects the whole model. Best thing to do would be Select All, then with that vertex group selected, press the “remove” button, then go about re-doing the weight map for that bone. Hope this helps.
