Awesome work! what did you use for your 2d? GIMP?

It looks great, poke!
whoa! I love that robot. awesome design. =)
Has a very trippy 60’s feel to it.
Very trippy, very nice, though some of the black spots on the robots get in the way a little.
awesome stuff mate ! nice style youve got there
4*
tight lines, i’m loving it. 5 from me.
Wow, great composition! The robots looking fantastic, everything fits wonderful!
Really neat! Reminds me of the album cover for Cream’s Disraeli Gears. I can’t decide if I like or dislike the clash between the high contrast pink-black of the 2D and the smooth Phong-ish shading of the robots. I’m leaning toward liking it since it’s made me think so much.
I also like how you’ve toned down the garishness of the saturated pink by bringing down your white level to a newsprint gray. It maintains the pink’s punch, but doesn’t overwhelm the viewer.
One crit, though – I don’t like the shape of the “P” in the “POKE” text that’s filled white. The transition between the D part and the descending line makes a 135 degree angle, and it feels mushy and unassertive compared with the rest of the scene.
Cheers for the comments guys.I wasn’t to sure if many “3D” people would like this image much, glad it seams to appeal to quite a few.
Good news for me, is I’m being feature in a popular compuer art magazine in the UK soon and I’ve given a big thumbs up to blender in the article, lets just hope they publish some of what I’ve said so we can get more people using.
