polygons clipping each other

Hi all, i wonder if someone can explain me how to avoid that in animation some polygons clip each other. Its a woman’s black dress, and in the game (Empire Earth 2) the inner sides of the triangles of front piece of the garment show through the back side of the clothes. It must be that some polygons are incorrectly set. I adjoin the blender model (blender 2.49)

I think that such problem might be due to a low value for the self-collision parameter (If you are using the cloth modifier) or to a wrong direction of the mesh normals (try selecting them and hiting the recalculate option).
