Hi, I’m working on this animation (it’s not finished yet) for about two months (lack of time) and I wanted to see how hairstyle, that I imagined will act in blender. When hairs are loose simulation works pretty good, but ponytail bends too much as you can see in the video (when character grabs the crown), and also hair penetrates body mesh. How to solve those problems? I heard that I can prevent “hair throughout the mesh” effect if I increase subdivision value of body but it’s not working very well even if I increase quality of simulation.
Pleasse help beacause animating the character is so far t my smallest problem
I’m actually using collision, because force field doesn’t work properly in my case I want to know what can I do to make hairs bends less and act as real ponytail does…
Since the hair seems to move a lot, I would probably increase both the spring and air drag in the hair dynamics by a factor of 10…
Force fields are a lot of work and fiddling to geet right, since they work based on the hair velocity. so a force that works on a slow moving hair will not work on a fast moving hair.
