Poor UV Seams / Fixing?

I’m completely new to Blender, only starting as of ~2 days ago. I’ve been working on creating a mod for Elden Ring and didn’t want to reuse an existing model. Because of this, I decided to simply kitbash a few pieces of other weapons, but this has begun to present its own issues, particularly with UV mapping the model.

As is obvious, the seams / UV mapping are not good. In my extremely limited experience, I’m not too sure what to do about this, but to begin creating my albedo, normal and metal maps I need a functional UV map. Any advice or next steps forward would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like a) the margins are set too high, so not optimal usage of space, and b) there are either too may seams, or you automatically unwrapped according to face angle. for unwrapping using seams, make the seams, press U and select the option “unwrap”.
