Portable preferences path

Hi all,

I’m going to start teaching Blender, but for that I need a “clean” blender installation so I thought I could have a portable version for that and keep the installed one for my work, the problem here is that the portable one is reading the same preferences than the installed one.

Is there a way to tell to the portable one to read the preferences from some other place?

Make both portable.

[burnin]

just add “config” folder inside your Blender versioning folder, next to “datafiles”, “python” and “scripts”
and that’s it - The Real Portable version
