Pose mode question

Is there any way in pose mode to rotate a bone on more than one axis at a time?

I am rigging an aircraft and I have the elevator and ailerons constrained to a control stick bone, but I don’t know how to rotate the control stick on more than one axis at a time.:spin:

Thanks for any help you can give.

I tried this: in edit mode, snap your cursor to the head of the control stick bone. deselect with A, and then shift-A to add a new bone. Rename this as ‘target’. In pose mode, select your control stick bone, and add a track to constraint, choose Armature as the track to, then ‘target’ as the specific bone. In pose mode, select ‘target’ and grab with G and watch the control stick rotate along depending on where you move the target. I hope this is what you needed.

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but if you press “r” twice it goes into a “free rotation” mode rather than one that is constrained to one axis at a time.

craigomatic,

Thanks, I’m at work now, but I’ll try that when I get home this afternoon.

mikshaw,

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try that too.

mikshaw,

R twice did the trick. Thanks!
