So I am trying to create a video with a “flaming sword” type thing in it. The way I have it set up involves me and another wielding wooden dowel rods with colored strips on them to provide contrast for motion tracking. I am fairly confident that I can get the motion tracking to work, and where it fails, I can improvise somewhat. My main question is, during the “fight,” there are points in time where the sword passes behind my body or my head. I need to figure out how to make the sword not appear over my body when realistically, when I turn around, the dowel rod is behind my body as well. Can anyone give me a hand with this?
