Possible? Tool to mark "after _ frame, scene not change" to speed up render?

This may be a stupid question, but here goes… I’m fairly new to Blender, and was curious if there was a way to identify/mark areas of an animation render scene which after certain frames DON’T charge anymore; therefore Blender can more or less ignore it unless it tracks a single object move back into that area, otherwise stay focused on where action is happening.

So for example with a long dominoes scene, which starts left and runs right, this could save a lot of time if one could indicate for Blender “after __ frame, this section doesn’t change” - maybe use something like the grease pencil]

Anyway, would greatly appreciate any input or suggestions. Love this software, how brilliant!

Thanks,
