I’m curious about the feasability of using the node system for more than just textures. Specifically, I was thinking about using it for post-render compositing, currently done in the sequence editor.
Is it flexible enough to be extended this way, or would I be wasting my time even looking at it?
Also: Are there any plans to set up a “Plug-in structure” for the nodes, that the nodes don’t need to be compiled directly into the main program?
I believe that the noodle editor is already set up to do compositing, in fact there have been a few example pictures floating around -check the Orange open movie project site out.
