Post process Motion Blur

I’m looking for a good method to get post-process motion blur for 3D scenes.

What I’m using right now is an effect in After Effects called Timewarp which works… decent but not great. An example of the effect can be seen here.
The results however can be unpredictable with a moving camera, and its pretty slow.

The full sample motion blur in Blender is simply too slow. The vector blur in Blender is workable in my case but has some strange side effects, at specially with large ground planes.

If anybody knows of a good method, in Blender, After Effects or any other app to get good Mblur i’d like to know.

Sometimes I use the “CC Force Motion Blur” in After Effects. In my cases it worked better then “Timewarp”. The vector blur is still my favourite. Try to put the large ground planes on another Render layer (without or just a lower vector blur amount).

I’ll give CC force motion blur a spin.

Using seperate render layers for the ground and the car works for my scenes that have minimal camera animation. The vector blur however doesnt give me the results I get from Full Sample motion blur or the Timewarp, even when I have a static camera.

Hey can you guys tell me whether CC Force MB in AE is faster than vector blur while rendering in blender?
