Post-prod on jewels and diamonds

Hi, i’m looking to recreate this effect in compositing,

Any tips on how can i do it?

Thanks a lot!

Which one: dispersion, glare, bloom or all together?
Now, if hasty, be good & google for :peanuts:

The rays that go from the reflection.

I didn’t find a tutorial on google. Maybe i didn’t used the right word…

Your words still don’t make much sense…

Simple copy-paste & cycles added to google’s search engine
:peanuts::peanuts::peanuts:
Dispersion
Glare / Flare
Bloom / Glow

BTW, start with basics: Terminology - understanding and expressing with proper terms is a must in such vast landscape of modern CGI.

Hi, i just finish.

In Gimp, i created another layer, with a high contrast so i can extract the part of the object, that has high level of reflections, and i used the directionnal blur to stretch this out.

It may be useful to know that, in the film world, professional photographers use a “star filter.” (And there are similar filters in PhotoShop, GIMP, and other systems.) The current photo (real or not) appears to be using a six-point star.

The Glare node allows you to define many pointed “stars”. You just have to select the right mode for the Glare node.
