Powdered Toast Man Render

After creating the renders of Ren and Stimpy, I wanted to do more from the Ren & Stimpy universe, and settled on Powdered Toast Man.

This one was a tough one because of all the human-ish anatomy involved. Whereas Ren and Stimpy both have very cartoon proportions, Powdered Toast Man is just a smirking piece of toast set on a human body. The face was relatively quick and fun, and then the body took a long time to get right and was mostly kind of boring because it’s very non-descript, generic super-hero stuff.

It was good modeling/anatomy practice I suppose. But still a lot less fun than making his face.

This is what he looks like in wireframe:

I think there is only one spot on him that I had to go with triangles instead of quads - in the middle of his hands somewhere where I just couldn’t be bothered to clean it up, because you can’t see it.

Here’s a back-and-forth video showing off the dimensions of the model a bit more. Compared to my Ren and Stimpy models, this one is a lot more normal looking in the round.

And here’s a gallery of some progress shots that I took as I worked on it:

As with the others in this series, all the materials are procedural, with the exception of the “PTM” logo on his shorts. This was created in Blender 4.2, and rendered with Cycles.

I didn’t give him a very defined booty (and believe me, I debated it) but he still has a dump truck, though:

One last note: anyone following me on social media might notice that this one is a couple of months old. I meant to post it here, but I’ve been really busy with work and other things, and didn’t have the time to create a thoughtful post about it until now, unfortunately. Better late than never, though!
