Does anyone elso own one of these? I’ve had one for 2 weeks, and my record is 10,993. I’m still trying to pass the 11k mark. If you own a powerball, feel free to post results.
Looks like a pretty nifty device. I think I’ll get one.
Wow, thats pretty much the exact tool i need for climbing and playing drums!
sold
oh i thought this thread was about me…dang…
so what the heck is this thing? how does it work, and what is it for?
all i could see on the website was a .gif animation of a guy that looked like he was being shocked to death, with the big title 'world champion"…how would you like to be the world champion of …Power…Balls…hahahahahhahaha.
hey look i’m in the guniess book of world records for…POWERBALLS!
They looked so awsome I bought one already. I figured with their full money back guarentee I can alway send it back, but they seem pretty legit. I can’t wait to get it. Great post, thanks for telling us about it.
ACHOO*RIPOFF!!*OOOO
Yeah maybe it is a ripoff. I really don’t care though. If it at least looks cool its good enough for me. I love having money to burn. Yeah yeah, I should be saving. I do that too, and plenty. I noticed Enriq766 that you are really negative all the time. You should try to lighten up a bit. Just my two cents.
15000 RPM!!! image using that for a freaking hard drive drools there would be buff computer geeks everywhere.
15,000 RPM?
Apparantly the new “Metal” Powerballs have a top speed of 20,000 RPM!
Although at 70 UKP, 110US$ or 100 Euro, its a rather expensive toy.

So i’ll stick with my plastic powerball, even although I can’t get it past a rather feeble 9000rpm
Umm…so let me get this straight, its a little ball that spins inside itself really fast…and the point is umm…to hold onto it as long as you can as it speeds up?
Seems very pointless.
Not quite. You have to control the ball spinning. You’ll need strong arms tto get it over 13,000.
Got a cheap one myself, but has no counter on it (housemate has one with a counter).
It’s basically a gyroscope inside, and it’s axis can rotate inside the sphere. You start it spinning slowly and rotate your wrist in large, slow circles which builds up the speed of the gyroscope. Because it’s axis can change orientation, you can circle one way, then suddenly circle in the opposite direction and the gyroscope flips around and keeps getting faster.
As you speed up you make the wrist circles smaller and small, eventually locking your wrist and the movement comes from further up your arm, then eventually your shoulder. The faster the gyroscope spins, the more force it exerts, so if you spin it really fast then try to hold it still, your hand will be flapping all over the place trying to control the thing.
It can be quite a workout hehe.
I finally got over 11k (11049)
In other news, I also got my ADSL modem running through Linux.
they say this helps with tendonitis in the arms and joints.
does anyone know if they have something like this for leggs? i have horrible tendonitis in my left hip. that would rock if they do…
Wu you might want to try a balance board / wobble board. They are often used in physiotherapy for ankle and leg injures. I’ve got one myself (board, not injury).
It’s basically a hard disc with a hemisphere underneath at the centre, so you stand on the disc and there is only the hemisphere on the ground, and thus you have to balance. There are also exercises you can do (when you get better at it hehe) to make it harder.
That is the most irritating commercial I have ever seen. :o
BTW, that animated gif of the guy spinning his powerball?
I’d suggest taking this down, cause it looks like the guy’s masturbating :]
Good you can still see he’s got his pants on.
I bet he’s got one normal arm and one very strong arm.
P
Hehe, you have to keep switching arms cos they get knackered so fast.
they look sweet when i have some cash ima buy one- then when im bored i can send it back
i have to agree with you here, that .gif animation was a bit disturbing???
=KH=Lupus- thanks man, streching also helps big time, look forward to seeing your new works!!
Way to go Wu.
Your best joke ever, and you’ve got a huge spelling error in there.
