some odd reason I was looking at isometric math and then I thought of final fantasy and figured i’d play around and do their style lvl design… although you can probably see what I obviously did it leaves those who dont a way to figure how to get nice lvl designs with a static camera…
----Controls----
up arrow = foward
left arrow = turn left
right arrow = turn right
well I just did the same thing I do when I model from 1 image… eyeball it…
Only thing that can be way faster is actrally do you own 3d modeling and render you image and use that for that bg image, then any object that the character will or supose to hit/go behind, just reader with RGBA., then you already have your 3d scene set up, just decimeters your scene turn it invisable and set up planes with images and size accordingly…
This is actally more work then building a 3d scene becuase to have to render it, then do other thingys but its makes stuff a lot more purdy…
Just a note, you can also use Doc Holiday’s 5 in 1 uv animation script to make a plane contain the chracter ^^ and just render the character walk…turn…etc… so then you actrally have a 2d game in a 3d world ^^
