When I use box for bounds, the dotted boundary line thingy stays as a sphere and I can’t tell if it is the right size. How do I fix this.

theres no such thing as a stupid question. even though you set the bounds to box, your still going to see the sphere. It doesnt mean anything though as long as you have bounds turned on and selected. the sphere is only used if you dont select anything for bounds… in your case you selected box so like i said, youll see the sphere, but you dont have to worry about it. and also you wont see the bounds when you set them to box. but theyre there. so basically you dont have a problem.
What about the size though?
I don’t think the size matters after you set the bounds to something different than the default.
