Problem importing makehuman as collada

I have used makehuman to create models several times, in the past I’ve always imported my character to blender as a waveform object and rigged it myself with no problems, but after watching a tutorial and as it’s nearly halloween, I thought it would be cool to animate the skeleton that imports with makehuman collada files. I’m importing my collada file with the collada 1.4 script as the tutorial I saw directed, but I keep getting this python script error (see picture)

It seems to me that makehuman isn’t saving all the collada data correctly but there doesn’t seem to be any way to alter that from within the console. Has anyboy else encountered this problem, or have any idea of how to solve it. I’ve tried it with various different models with the same outcome everytime, so I know it’s not a corrupt file.

I’m using Blender 2.49 and have the correct python 2.6 installed.

Oh yeah and i’m using makeHuman v 0.9.1 RC The new version 1 doesn’t seem to support collada export at all. I know halloween’s been and gone now but I’d like to sort this issue out. Anyone any ideas?

Use the MHX format (MakeHuman eXchange)
