what went wrong? As I insert a new Key, the old one disappears.

I see that you’re one of the people using a custom icon set. Judging from your video clip, it seems that the icon set doesn’t have an icon for the deselected keyframes yet.

man, this is the third incomplete icon set issue on this board in the last few days, and is gonna complicate the heck out of helping people confused by an incomplete icon set.
no believe me, that’s not the issue. The icon set has an icon for deselected diamonds. I checked this before posting here.
But it has something to do with the nla editor, because when i don’t use the action as a nla strip it works…
OK, in that case, please upload the file somewhere where I can access it. Preferably, reduce the file to the minimal case where this happens.

sry I’m not able to provide this file right now, because i solved it by not using the action as a nla strip for the time i’ve set the keys. But i am sure, that it will appear again in the further work - so i post the file, when it appears again…
