Hi,
I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but when I try to attach an scene as a background to another one, duplifaced objects of the first one doesn’t show on the second.
I discovered this issue when linking a scene with an inverted lightdome to another. It showed (and rendered) only a single instance of the lamp that’s supposed to be duplifaced.
Just in case I’m not explaining enough, repeat these steps:
1- start a fresh blender session
2- duplicate the cube, place it a little bit aside and scale by 0,5 for example.
3- select the duplicated and smaller cube, then select the bigger one and press Ctrl+P
4- select the parent/bigger cube, and in the object context set it to “Dupliface”. You’ll see some small cubes appear around the small one.
5- create another Scene. In the context of Scene of this new Scene, set the previous Scene as the background of the current one. You’ll see only the two cubes, but no cubes duplifaced. If you render, you’ll not see the parent/big cube (it’s OK, is duplifaced) but you’ll neither see the duplicated ones around the smaller (not OK, IMHO)
So, I’m missing something, is an expected behaviour of Blender, a bug…? any help is appreciated. Thanks!
