problem loading background image

hii ,
im new to blender , im having a problem loading a background image :
when click view->background image->load
i get the image loaded in the camera view area see image . http://www.glowfoto.com/static_image/19-142522L/6502/jpg/10/2010/img6/glowfoto
, when click view->top/side/front i don’t get anything .
the image is jpg, size of 34 kb .

any ideas , thnx .

The background image only shows in Orthographic view. To toggle between orthographic and perspective use Numpad 5

in the image you posted both views are in perspective mode
you have to switch to ortho
numpad 5 toggles it

it sounds like you tried that. can you post that image?
