problem rigging a simple hand

hey all…noob in the house…

i am trying to rig the hand of a simple model…but the problem is it doesn’t bend right…
i know you will suggest weight painting…but even that is not helping (probably because i am not too familiar with it)…please take a look and suggest something…its getting frustrating…

first of all. i think it’s better to have the armature first modifier first of modifier stack. if not, you can’t control the correct weight of every vertex, and the deformation become smooth wihout control over it. so, i think you need some more loops in the fingers. a correct topology will help you to improve deformations. look some topology references. and, sure you will have to hand paint weighting to achieve the results you are looking for.

yes, i am watching a tutorial series on topography…thanks for the help…
