Problem selecting bones.

I want to do an Automatic Weight selecting my skeleton and mesh, as you know i had to select the mesh in “Edit” and the skeleton in “Pose”, but i just can’t do it. Whenever i select the skeleton after selecting the mesh using Shift+Right Click , it turn me back to the edit mode instead of going to pose.

What shall i do? =/

Why do you not want to do this in object mode if you want to auto weight parent an object to an armature ?

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t work if both aren’t in object mode. So just go to object mode for the armature, then object mode for the mesh, shift click the armature and try again.
