Recently I’ve been saving renders as OpenEXR Mulitlayer, editing in Krita, then saving as jpg to upload to BA. I’ve been getting upload errors - no byte order. I’ve been able to solve this by opening the jpg in GIMP and exporting again as the same filename and type as it already was. Then it uploads to BA without error. In the process of opening in GIMP I do agree to a suggested colour profile conversion, but not sure if this is relevant to the problem. Any clues?
Some quick research would indicate this is a UTF-8 compatibility error, I’m not sure if Discourse actually is using UTF-8 but it seems like it. You may need to use an 8 bit JPG instead of a 16 bit JPG, if Krita has that option
I got a solution on krita-artists (from David Revoy no less) - manually convert the colour profile before saving to jpg, rather than letting Krita do it automatically in the kra to jpg conversion.
